The silver liner group meets every Wednesday afternoon from 2pm. This group is for the over 50’s, but all are welcome to come along and join the fellowship and ministry. A typical programme would consist of singing, sharing, fellowship and food!
Christmas Memoire
On arrival we found the room very nicely decorated with Christmas fayre. The dinner was lovingly prepared and cooked by members of the congregation.
The meal was very nice; we started with some of Jayne’s (Pastors wife) home-made soup or fruit cocktail. This was followed by the traditional Christmas dinner: mashed and roast potatoes, carrots, sprouts, roast parsnips, stuffing, Yorkshire puds, pigs in blankets, gravy and of course the turkey. For those who had room there was Christmas pud or trifle. We finished the afternoon with various party games and had a sing song with Christmas carols.
What a lovely afternoon. A good time was had by all. Praise the Lord.
