Three Peak Challenge WOW (Women of Worth) team
For three days in July, 17 of us set off on the ‘3 peak challenge’ to raise money for Women of Worth. Women of Worth is a charity that restores dignty and hope to vulnerable women mainly in India and Africa, advocating the value of their lives and demonstrating Christian compassion through support, friendship and practical aid.
The 3 peaks are the 3 highest mountains in England, Wales and Scotland and we began with Snowdon in Wales. The next day we climbed Scafell in the Lake District and then finished on the third day with the highest climb of all: Ben Nevis in Scotland.
The weather was absolutely fantastic on all three climbs and the views were stunning as you can see from the photos. For me the best part was obviously the satisfaction of completing each mountain and being awed by God’s amazing creation which He has made for our pleasure, and also the time to spend with some amazing people who simply just love God!
Altogether we raised about £3000 for this brilliant charity and can’t wait for the next ‘WOW extreme’
