South Yorkshire Prayer Event ‘Joining the dots’ – Saturday 3rd October
On Saturday 3rd October South Yorkshire Prayer event, ran from 12.00noon til 6.00pm at LIBERTY ROTHERHAM.
Leaders and their congregations gathered from across Doncaster, Barnsley, Rotherham and Sheffield to pray for a revival in the church and an awakening in our nations.
The leader of the National Day of Prayer Jonathan Oloyede joined us, and lead part of the day, so it was undoubtedly a significant time in these increasingly dark times. We believe that across the nation God’s is calling his people to stand together to see the Light of Calvary impact our nation again.
Dr Jonathan’s background
Born in Britain but bred in Nigeria, Dr Oloyede is a medical doctor by profession and called as a missionary to England and Europe.
He was radically saved from Islam within the wake of the revival that hit the Nigerian Universities in the 80s. He was ordained into Pastoral Ministry in 1993 at Glory Bible Church (Glory House).
In 2008 Jonathan and Abbiih Oloyede together as Team Leaders started a church plant called City Chapel.
Jonathan is the key catalyst for London’s Global Day of Prayer. and the National Day of Prayer and Worship.
As a regular Radio and TV personality, he is a well known leader, writer and spokesperson within Black Majority Churches, Historic Churches and the Charismatic/Evangelical community.
He is a popular events speaker at conferences across the Nation and internationally including Spring Harvest, Easter People, Soul Survivor, and NewWine amongst others.
His vision is to see the United Kingdom saturated with prayer, is married to Abbiih and lives in Kent with his two lovely kids: Samuel and Hanita.
