City Vision exists…
… to draw together and build relationships between Church leaders, that will enable peer-level mutual support, encouragement and leadership/ministry development. … to encourage and facilitate leaders and church members from across the region to regularly and passionately pray and intercede for a transformation of the Spiritual climate over Rotherham and South Yorkshire. … to inspire and encourage coordinated local mission and Community action projects.
ABOUT – City Vision is merely a tool, to bring church leaders together to pray, work, and grow together.
AIMS – City Vision has three main aims:
1) Unity and leadership development. To draw together and build relationships between Church leaders, that will enable peer-level mutual support, encouragement and leadership/ministry development.
2) Prayer and intercession. To encourage and facilitate leaders and church members from across the region to regularly and passionately pray and interceded for a transformation of the Spiritual climate over Rotherham and South Yorkshire.
3) United Mission. To inspire and encourage coordinated local mission and Community action projects
Better together
At City Vision we believe in synergy: that we can achieve much more together, than we can achieve simply on our own. As Churches there are many things we can do very well on our own, but there are some things we can do better together.
For many Years the Churches have stood “toe to toe” but in recent years we have seen the Church begin to stand “shoulder to shoulder.” Together we are stronger, and together we recognise that we need each other, if we are going to take possession of all that God has for us.
City Vision seeks to facilitate, a strong, peer-level friendship and support base through authentic relationships amongst key leaders throughout the Borough. We meet monthly as a group of pastors / ministers for a prayer breakfast or lunch.
City Vision recognizes that one of the greatest needs is the lack of new leaders emerging from within our churches. City Vision is committed to train, equip and release emerging leaders, to serve within their own local church. Our City Vision Academy, lays good solid foundations in leadership skills, and exposes the Students to a breadth of Ministry, from some of the gifted leaders and teachers from across the Borough.
Building in Prayer Together
Building in Mission together
City Vision seeks to facilitate partnership on local mission and community outreach projects, to proclaim the Good News and to raise the profile and credibility of the Church in Rotherham Borough.
Across the Churches responsibility and vision for united events is shared, bringing the strengths and skills of different churches together, for the greater good.
